How should I wash my Soleberie socks?

  • For best results, wash your Soleberie socks at 30°C with similar colours.
  • Turning them inside out before washing can help keep them looking their best for longer, especially with repeated wear and washing.

Can I tumble dry my socks?

  • We recommend air drying your Soleberie socks wherever possible – and there’s nothing better than a pair dried outside on the washing line!
  • High heat can shorten the life of natural fibres and may affect the fit, handle and appearance of your socks over time so we don’t suggest you use your tumble drier.

What temperature should I wash them at?

  • We recommend washing your Soleberie socks at 30°C.
  • A lower-temperature wash is kinder to the fibres, helps maintain colour and can help extend the life of your socks.

How can I keep my socks looking their best?

  • Wash them at the recommended temperature, with similar colours, and avoid high heat when drying.
  • We also recommend avoiding bleach or harsh cleaning products, as these can damage the fibres and affect the colour.
  • Store your socks folded rather than stretched over radiators or direct heat sources.

Will the colours fade over time?

  • Like any quality textile product, some natural colour softening may occur after repeated washing and wear.
  • Following the care instructions and avoiding excessive heat will help maintain the appearance of your socks for longer.

Why is following the care instructions important?

  • Taking good care of your socks helps maintain their softness, shape and appearance.
  • Careful washing and drying will also help extend the life of the fibres and keep your socks feeling comfortable for longer.

Why do my socks look slightly fluffy after washing?

  • Bamboo viscose is a short fibre, which means some of the fibre ends can occasionally lift and create a slightly fuzzy appearance.
  • This is completely normal and does not affect the structure, durability or softness of the socks. In fact, it is a natural characteristic of bamboo-rich yarns.

Will my socks shrink?

  • When cared for according to the washing instructions, your Soleberie socks should maintain their fit well.  Our socks are washed as part of the manufacturing process to help minimise any future shrinkage.
  • As with most socks made with natural fibres, excessive heat during washing or drying may cause unwanted shrinkage.

Can I use fabric conditioner?

  • You can, but it is not usually necessary.
  • The bamboo and organic cotton blend is naturally soft, so fabric conditioner provides little additional benefit.

Can I bleach my socks?

No. We do not recommend using bleach or harsh cleaning products, as these can damage the fibres and affect the colour.

Why do the heels and toes feel different from the rest of the sock

  • The heels and toes use cotton, with polyamide running through the heel, toe and sole for extra durability.
  • These are the areas that usually experience the most friction and wear, so we have given them extra support while keeping the sock comfortable.

How long should my Soleberie socks last?

  • The lifespan of any sock depends on how often it is worn, the footwear it is worn with and how it is cared for.
  • Soleberie socks are designed with reinforced high-wear areas to help them stand up to everyday use, but careful washing and drying will always help them last longer.

Do I need to wash my socks before wearing them for the first time?

  • No, your socks are ready to wear straight away.
  • Some customers prefer to wash new clothing before first use, which is entirely a matter of personal preference.
